Alhamdulillah and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah (sallAllahu ‘alayhi wasallam), and peace be upon his family, his companions, those who gave their loyalty to him, and those who followed him, tracing his steps and establishing the Islamic ‘Aqeeda as the foundation for their thought, and the Ahkam Al-Shar'iyyah as the measure for judgment in their actions and the source of their laws.
It was narrated by Al-Bukhari in his Sahih on the authority of Muhammed Bin Ziyad, who said, "I heard Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, say: ‘The Messenger of Allah (sallAllahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said', or he said, ‘Abu Al-Qasim (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam) said: Fast when you see it, and break your fast when you see it, and if you cannot see it then complete 30 days of Sha'ban.'"
